How we can help


Why you will get value from your investment in Prosperity Consulting.  While my intention is not to undervalue what I contribute, the methodology used focuses on your involvement rather than my "expertise". While there are no magic bullets or "short cuts", there are ways to avoid taking the long way or expending unnecessary efforts.

The process is oriented toward guiding you and your staff to clarify exactly where you are going, how to get there, and supporting you in getting there.  You are an experienced business person, I am not about to tell you how to run your business, but I can definitely help you to be more effective at what you do.

  • Your Time, Effort and Focus. By committing to a consulting/planning engagement, you commit your time and effort to focus on what is important to the success of your business. Frankly if you simply spent the time proposed thinking about your business and what needs to be done, you would be surprised at the positive impact that resulted. At the same time without a framework to work in, you could waste a lot of time just discussing how to proceed. 
  • A powerful but simple to understand methodology based on universal principles. While the recognition of these principles goes back to ancient times and every business planning and project management systems calls on these same underlying seminal principles, the credit goes to Robert Fritz for distilling and systematizing this dynamic into a practical process. The method definitely includes powerful techniques to uncover the essence of what you want to achieve and to avoid sidetracks. Just as importantly it incorporates a systematic approach for implementation and execution of the plan over time. A great vision without sustained effort toward implementation is hardly worth the paper it is written on. "If wishes were horses then beggars would ride as kings." This method provides effective, usable, low-tech tools and a structure to build momentum and forward motion. 
  • A "third party", arms-length, impartial, viewpoint. Seeing reality for what it is, is the starting point. The arms-length relationship is a significant positive aspect. A consultant brings an unbiased viewpoint that is affected less by internal power structures and politics. Also this "third party" can more easily view and express the reality of the situation. It is easier to see the forest as a whole as well as see the individual trees. Once we enter into a working relationship my job is to provide the best possible service to the organization, not to the department manager, the owner, or the person who hired me or authorized the expenditure. I am not the person to use in a situation where a manager wants to hire a consultant to validate their view of how to do things. There are times when it is the manager that is "the fly in the ointment". In this case what is best for the organization is to discover this and find a productive way to remedy the situation.
  • The training, experience and skills of the consultant. As was mentioned I have invested significant time and money in learning this particular system. Additionally I have been the creator and owner/manager of over 6 successful companies in Canada and the USA. I have studied much management theory in addition to the Fritz material and have also completed the Canadian Association of management Consultants training program. I have provided business process improvement consulting and business consulting to dozens or businesses. I bring this experience, training and skills to your engagement.
